This is the dragon that I've been working on for nearly a month straight. (edited again to remove the crappy background) Anyways, she's made out of super sculpey, a material that I've decided I really like to work with. I used wire armatures for the neck/head/horns, the tail, and both of the wings. Her eyes are garnet beads, so when the light hits them right they glow a reddish purple color. She's holding onto a piece of glaze that was in a kiln firing that got so hot it melted the glaze off of some pieces, and that really shiney stuff on the horns, clawtips, and tail is silver leaf. I painted her with pearl acrylic paints so she's super shiney and has very rich vibrant colors. Her wings are made out of thick paper that has silk strands going through it...I should take a pic of how it looks when the light is shining through them. I'm VERY pleased with how she's turned out.
She is *nothing* short of a treasure. Thank you so much for sharing your in-progress work with me ; she was obviously a hugely successful piece for you!

Thanks! I really wanted her to look "professional" so that's just what I wanted to hear. Heh, and if you ever run into cash that's burning a hole in your pocket, or a sucker relative that wants to buy ya something, you could always commission me. ^_^
